Ganga Deri has intricately carved jaalis or windows.
The carvings include the Bhavnagar Royal Family Crest.
The Royal Family Crest includes two strong bisons flanked on both sides, symbolising the strength of the empire and the people of the kingdom at the time, the lion, a symbol of courage, the eagle and last but not the least a ship. This is a tribute to the maritime trade of the region, the reason the kingdom was founded in 1723. The sea and ships continue to provide livelihood to several of Bhavnagar city with the shipbreaking yard, Alang and the fisheries!
